The devastating DANA that hit the Valencian Community on October 29th left behind a trail of destruction and despair. Thousands of families were affected, losing their homes and belongings. Faced with this emergency situation, we at Eliwell Ibérica felt the need to act. The refrigerator, such a basic element in our homes and that defines us in our sector, really "There is no home without a refrigerator" and became a symbol of hope and reconstruction. Thus was born our solidarity campaign to donate refrigerators.

Joining forces with AEFYT and the industry:

Aware of the magnitude of the tragedy, we turned to AEFYT (Asociación de Empresas del Frío y sus Tecnologías) as a first action to amplify our message and mobilize the sector. We are grateful for the support from minute zero when our general manager Carlos Momplet and the ideary of the initiative explained the campaign to the president and manager of AEFYT, Susana Rodríguez and Manuel Lamúa, respectively.

Support was essential to publicize the initiative and achieve a significant response from other companies in the sector. Solidarity did not take long to arrive, demonstrating once again the strength of teamwork and social commitment in such complicated times.

A fast and efficient response:

The urgency was evident. The large amount of food donated by the generosity of Valencians and all of Spain needed to be properly preserved. We had to act quickly and efficiently so that the coolers could reach the families as soon as possible. In little more than a month, thanks to a joint effort, we managed to distribute close to 300 coolers.

No home without a refrigerator

At Eliwell Ibérica, we understood that, in times of crisis, even a small gesture can make a big difference. A refrigerator is not just a household appliance; it represents the possibility of preserving food, maintaining hygiene and recovering a certain normality in daily life. It became a symbol of hope in rebuilding the lives of the affected families.

The team behind the initiative:

This project would not have been possible without the collaboration of the entire Eliwell Ibérica team. From the identification of the families that most needed help to the logistics of the delivery (coordinated from the Euronics logistics center with the professionalism of Julian Abad. We avoided any bureaucratic red tape.

We wanted the aid to arrive directly at their doorstep, without adding more worries to the ones they already had.

We are aware that this aid is only a small contribution to the magnitude of the tragedy. We would have loved to have been able to reach many more families, but we are comforted to know that we have been able to do our bit and bring a little hope in difficult times to 300 families.

At Eliwell Ibérica, we firmly believe in the power of solidarity and social commitment. This campaign has shown us that, working together, we can make a real difference in people's lives. We will continue to be committed to our community and look for new ways to contribute to a better future.

We wish a speedy return to normalcy. We will always remember the victims of this tragedy.
